... watching The Newsroom Season 1. At this point I'm not sure there's much Aaron Sorkin could write that I wouldn't watch. Totally worth my Netflix DVD subscription, now if only they could just ship them all at once - the waiting! While I wait I have been laughing more than I thought watching through Undateable on Hulu. If you've enjoyed Cougar Town or Scrubs back in the day, you'll probably laugh at least as much as I have.
... drinking Moscow Mules and scheming plans for a daily cocktail hour when vacation week hits this July. Also trying to determine whether or not drinking them from a copper mug is a game changer. What would Oprah say?
... reading A Tale for the Time Being and You're Going to Be Okay. A Tale was my book club's pick for the month and while I would say I enjoyed it, I'm still not sure I understood it. If you're interested in Japanese culture and quantum physics, this could be just the read for you. Definitely read it with a friend, you're going to want to talk about it.
You're Going to Be Okay is the most "self-helpy" title ever and I was semi-embarassed to be seen reading the book in public. (As if people were going to come up and pat me on the shoulder saying, "There, there. Things will get better.") However, the subtitle - Encouraging Truth Your Heart Needs to Hear, Especially On the Hard Days - hits at why I picked the book up in the first place. If you're having a hard day... or a hard month, this book is filled with encouraging truth told in that "we're just two friends chatting over coffee" style that makes you feel like the author truly knows what you're working through. I've been recommending it and to lots of friends, check it out.
What are you enjoying currently? Do share, leave a snap in the comments. (And yes, apparently I'm trying to use the word snap in place of link, that's a thing I didn't realize I was actually doing.)
